[Gelöst] How do I show the options of a select field to a user?

Dieser Thread wurde gelöst. Hier ist eine Beschreibung des Problems und der Lösung.

Problem:
The user would like to have a field that can accept all the states and would like a better way to reuse it across the Toolset data.

Solution:
Use a custom taxonomy, instead of a custom field, to store all the states and assign this taxonomy to the custom post types that will need it.

I have a Select field configured in toolset with a list of all states. I'd like to display these options on a search form to the user in a dropdown menu so they can select from that list of options. Right now, I have to manually create the dropdown menu for the user and maintain the list of options in the custom field, but I'd imagine this is duplicative.

I can't seem to find any documentation or examples on how to do this, is it possible?

Hello and thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I would suggest using a custom taxonomy to store all the states and assign this taxonomy to the custom post types that will need it.

Read more about taxonomies in the following articles:

Here an article on how to create a custom taxonomy
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/creating-a-custom-taxonomy/

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
