Hello,

we trying to migrate our site to Toolset and we have some questions. Until now the plugin that we used, keep the photos in a separate folder from default media gallery of wordpress. So the wordpress post featured image is empty.

Now we want copy all images for custom media folder of the plugin to the default /wp-content/uploads folder of WordPress.

We have noticed that for every image we upload 17 images are created in our media gallery folder. 1 Original image and 16 Thumbs (lol). We have found that 3 thumbs are created from WordPress media settings and 12 from our Avada theme.

We try to understand wiche thumbs should we need to create for our new structure. We need to create thumbnails to for every dimension image that we a user can see in our website?

When for example i select from ToolSet

[wpv-post-featured-image size="custom" width="200" height="200"]

what is happened behind?

The Toolset try to find a thumb with dimensions 200x200 ?

If it can't find this thumb ti select the original image or the next thumb in that dimension?

Could you please help us?

Thank you!

Hello @arisg, welcome to the Toolset support Forum!

These thumbnail sizes are created automatically by WordPress based on the custom image sizes that your website uses.

THere is no need ot create these thumbnails manually. You can just add the images to your /wp-content/uploads/ folder then use a plugin like this one to regenerate the thumbnails: https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ - it will create all required thumbnails sizes.

Please note that the images should be available on the media library in order to work.

Please let me know if it worked for you.

All the best,
Diego
