While trying to figure out how to filter a certain taxonomy out of my main search results, I have somehow managed to break the search function on the "houses" section of my real estate reference site, and I cannot for the life of me see how. When I use the search function now (in that section only), "?post_type=view&p=542" is added to the start of the querystring in the address bar, and I get a 404 page. The view with ID 542 is the archive view for houses, but none of the other post types do that and their searches all work.

Dear zoe,

The URL parameter name "post_type" is reserved by wordpress, please check these:
1) edit the problem view, check if there is any filter is using the URL parameter "post_type", if there is, try modify it as other name, for example "my_post_type"

2) If there isn't, please try switch to wordpress default theme "2016", or theme "Toolset Starter":
https://toolset.com/account/downloads/#toolset-themes

3) If the problem still exists, please duplicate same problem in a test site, and fill below private detail box with login details, also point out the problem page URL and view URL, thanks

I can login the test site:
hidden link
Where can I see the problem:
"?post_type=view&p=542" is added to the start of the querystring in the address bar

I just tested the search filters form in the home page:
hidden link
For example the search result:
hidden link

As you can see, there isn't post_type URL parameter in the URL.

this filter form is using view:
hidden link

Since I didn't see the problem, I am not sure where is the problem source, as I suggest you above, please duplicate same problem in a test site, we need debug it in a live problem website. thanks

I have solved the problem by deleting the view "search-house", duplicating "search-land" and then renaming that to "search-house". For some reason, just deleting "search-house" and then trying to rebcreate it by copying the one on the test site still wasn't working. I still have no idea what was causing the problem, but it seems to be resolved for now. Thank you for your help.
