When any user with lesser privileges than Administrator edits any content that has a layout assigned to it the layout is cleared when they click Update. The content therefore disappears on the front end.

The Editor user does see the Layouts block on the right rail on the content editing screen, but can't edit the setting.

This is unacceptable as it negates a primary purpose of a CMS. We can't have everybody be an Admin! Am I doing something wrong?

I think this issue is similar and has a feature request dating to December 11, 2014.

Hi Chris

I ran some quick tests and can confirm the problem with the loss of assigned Layouts on editing and inability to assign a Layout when posting for non-admins.

I'm consulting with colleagues about whether there is a fix, and just wanted to let you know I am working on it and will get back to you as soon as I can.

Hi Chris

Serendipity. This issue should have been fixed in the release we pushed out today.

Could you backup your website and update WordPress and all Toolset plugins to the latest versions, and then test the issue to check if it has been resolved.

It would be helpful if you could let me know how you get on, thanks.

What version should I look for? The only update I saw was Types from 2.2 to 2.2.1. Here's what I have installed.

  	Toolset Types	2.1	June 13, 2016	2.2.1
  	Toolset Views	2.1.1	August 16, 2016	2.1.1
  	Toolset Layouts	1.7	June 13, 2016	1.7
