I can not create a layout with DIVI for a new CPT.
I have Toolset Views 2.5 installed.
Also, when I'm inside the new layout I can not delete it.
Look at the screenshots.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Francisco R.

I cannot replicate this issues.

1. I create a Layout
2. I assign it to some content
3. I can choose DIVI theme options
4. I can add Cells to the Layout.

Eventually I miss a crucial step, or there is another Plugin, or code, that produces a JS error which would be visible in the Console of your browser, if there is one.

The message you see when you try to delete the Layout is asking you to first remove the Layout from all assigned posts

This can be done in the Layout itself, or in the List of all layouts (Change Layouts Usage).
After you unassigned it from all posts, you can delete it.

Can you let me know the exact steps, and eventually provide either access to the site or a copy of it?

Thank you!

This is an invalid username.

Can you double check the information?

Thank you.

#582273

Well, the URL's are not the same, as you provided earlier.
That must have been the issue.

I was able to log in now.

I created a new layout and was able to edit it and save it:
admin.php?page=dd_layouts_edit&layout_id=37515&new=true#

I also did the same starting from the Toolset Dashboard.
I was also able to edit your Layout "Plantilla para Historial Versiones".

Just click on any of the cells in the Row and see the possible insertable elements.

Do you see any error in your Browser console when you try that?

Beda, Have you read my opening message?
I do not understand what you're telling me.
Where is DIVI Builder here?
The issue you are saying is through 'Toolset Layouts', but not by DIVI Builder.
How can I create the 'Versions History' layout with DIVI Builder?
By the way, what do you mean, I've given you a bad URL?
What URL did you use?

I am trying to follow the steps of your blog video:
https://toolset.com/2017/10/views-2-5-and-layouts-2-1-offer-tight-integration-with-popular-themes/
The DIVI builder button is not displayed on my site to create the layout.
Look at the screenshot.

Thanks for your help.

- I can create a layout with DIVI just fine in your install.
I show that here:
admin.php?page=dd_layouts_edit&layout_id=37515&new=true#

It might be that we confuse something here.
I understand "with DIVI" as "using DIVI (theme)".
And that is what you can do using DIVI and layouts:
- create new content layouts or templates layouts with Toolset and apply them to the contents, also controlling theme options while doing so

- I am also able to delete layouts
I just deleted the one I created previously. I did this by clicking on the Bin Button within the Layouts edit screen under Toolset > Layouts > Edit your Layout > Bin Button

- I also gave feedback on the Screenshots.

Maybe I massively misunderstand the issue.
We can also proceed in Spanish if you wish, I see your site is in Spanish?

Related to your last comment, let me reply:

Where is DIVI Builder here?
The issue you are saying is through 'Toolset Layouts', but not by DIVI Builder.
How can I create the 'Versions History' layout with DIVI Builder?
By the way, what do you mean, I've given you a bad URL?
What URL did you use?

- The DIVI Builder is not part of this integration we released.
The integrations are about Theme Options.
You will see them in the Layouts you create.
The DIVI Builder can be used too, more about that later.

- You show me Screenshots of Layouts - I do not understand how that is related to the Builder?
In Layouts you cannot use the Builder, if that is what you mean.

- How can I create the 'Versions History' layout with DIVI Builder?
We do not recommend to use Layouts with DIVI especially because it comes with a page builder:
https://toolset.com/documentation/recommended-themes/toolset-divi-integration/
https://toolset.com/documentation/recommended-themes/toolset-divi-integration/create-templates-for-custom-post-types-with-divi-builder-and-toolset/

That DOC explains what you try to achieve. Does this help?

Related to the wrong URL, I think in the first there is an underscore, in the second a dash.
I did not notice that in the beginning.

Thank you

Beda,
Have you seen your video of your blog article?
https://toolset.com/2017/10/views-2-5-and-layouts-2-1-offer-tight-integration-with-popular-themes/

If I follow the instructions of that video I do not see the access button to DIVI Builder to create the layout with DIVI Builder.
If you follow the instructions of that video in my site you can reproduce all the steps?
What is shown in that video can not be done with Views 2.5?

In this article you say the following:
"It’s a lot more convenient to use just the Views plugin and the theme’s builder than bending everything for Layouts. So, we added a convenient way to use Divi’s and Avada’s builders when designing Content Templates. We even created a complete guide for Getting Started with Toolset and Divi, which shows how to design templates, lists and archives with Toolset and Divi."

Out of curiosity, if I put in the browser the url (admin.php?page=dd_layouts_edit&layout_id=37515&new=true#) that you indicated I got to the layout that you are created, but if I want to get to that layout using the dashboard, how can I get to the url that you indicated? Thanks.

#582308

That video shows what you can do when you do not use Toolset Layouts.
As it is shown on the DOC I passed earlier as well.

Just as the quote you mention also says, to do it with Views, not with Toolset Layouts 🙂

Using the Dashboard you can reach each Layout OR Content template deepening on what you have active that is assigned to the type.

But easier is to navigate to Toolset > Layouts and you will see a list of all Layouts you created.
There you can also edit them.

But as said, in your constellation we suggest to not use Toolset Layouts.

Let's see that I try to understand what you are explaining to me. I have installed 'Toolset Layouts' and 'Toolset Views'.
You want to tell me that in order to use the 'DIVI Builder' I have to uninstall 'Toolset Layouts'?
If so, the layouts for CRED forms and other layouts can I create with 'DIVI Builder'?
In my humble opinion, I think even if 'Toolset Layouts' is installed, Toolset should give me the option to use 'Layouts' or to use 'DIVI Builder'.
Please give me the precise steps to be able to reproduce exactly what is done in the video that I have indicated.
And tell me if you should uninstall 'Toolset Layouts'.

Regarding the other topic, if I enter Toolset -> Layouts I see only one layout, my layout, not the one you have created (37515).
Look at the screenshot.

Thanks for your help.

#582332

As I explained, you can use Toolset Layouts.

But then, the edit with Builder buttons will not appear in the Content Templates edit screens as example.
You will then design your templates with Layouts.

And that is something you can do with DIVI already, so it is not needed to use layouts.

You can insert CRED Forms anywhere you need, also in DIVI builders (thru the possibility that you can add our shortcodes).

Edit Forms can either be displayed directly or with a Content Template, there is no need to use layouts for this.
We elaborate both options here:
https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/displaying-cred-editing-forms/

To do what you see in the vide please disable Toolset Layouts, as I explained, this is not required for that.

As I mentioned earlier I also deleted that layout, this is why you do not see it anymore.

To wrap up, to achieve the things seen in the video, please disable Toolset Layouts.

#582338

As far as I've seen CRED for the default use 'Bootstrap' looks, if I disconnect 'Toolset Layouts' will the CRED fields take the standard appearance of the DIVI form fields?

Thanks for your help.

#582340

No, by design CRED is usually using Bootstrap Markup

In Toolset > Settings you can manage bootstrap settings, hence also fully disable that framework if you wish to do so.

But natively CRED will try to render Bootstrap. No matter if Layouts is active or not.

#582342

Beda,
But then, will the forms be rendered very poorly rendered?
What will I have to do to make them look like the DIVI form fields?

#582345

This will not be any different with Toolset Layouts active, Francisco.

A theme (in this case DIVI) can choose what CSS or JS to use. DIVI has it's own.
Toolset also renders content and to make it responsive we provide bootstrap - but you do not need to use it.

You can disable it as above-commented.
Then CRED forms also do not render with Bootstrap.

You can also apply your own HTML; CSS and JS on the forms in case you want to reuse DIVI Classes.

#582349

I have disabled 'Toolset Layouts', but now I have a serious problem, the 'products' page of Woocommerce does not render products with DIVI.

That could be happening?
