I am trying to: a field group(weitere Tierdaten) should only show for post type "Tiere" (it would be the best for all "Tiere" Status (Taxonomy)except for "Sternenhimmel". (There's no negation button, sadly)

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
versteckter Link
(literally all post types)

I expected to see: only for my defines post types or taxonomies

Instead, I got: it's everywhere

I used Toolset to split a group (Tierdaten). Since then the second group (weitere Tierdaten) appears everywhere. (I moved the fields with toolset field control)

Perfect result would be: show this field group for all taxonomy Status except "sternenhimmel". (I dont want to tick all the "Glücksfelle YEAR" because we would have to add every yeart the checkmark.

Hi,

Welcome to Toolset support.

I will answer this ticket before the ticket is assigned to one of my colleagues.

Field-group display rules in Toolset are additive only – you can say “show the group if the post has term X”, but the interface has no “NOT term X” option.

When you leave the taxonomy panel empty the group is attached to all posts of the chosen post type, so your “weitere Tierdaten” group appears on every edit screen.

For more information:

If you can show the group on every Tiere post and rely on the editor to ignore it for Sternenhimmel, then, In the group settings tick Post type → Tiere only, leave “Taxonomy terms” empty.

The drawback will be that Editors can still see the fields on Sternenhimmel posts.

The other way is the one you already mentioned which is to adding the year each time a new item is added.

Thanks.
