[Gelöst] How to bulk assign Content Templates

Dieser Thread wurde gelöst. Hier ist eine Beschreibung des Problems und der Lösung.

Problem:
The assignment of Content Templates seems to have been lost for a large number of posts. How is it possible to re-assign them without doing it manually.

Solution:
When editing a Content Template the usage section will contain a "Bind" button if there are posts that do not have the template assigned, which will assign it to all unassigned posts in bulk.

I logged a support request with beaver and they referred me to this link.

https://toolset.com/errata/content-templates-built-with-beaver-builder-2-0-are-not-rendered-properly/

I have created a single product template for woo in toolset and it is not showing.

I am including my conversation with beaver here to make it easier to try and solve the issue.

Please assist to solve this issue.

Hi Herman,

Looks like this is caused by "Toolset WooCommerce Views. When I disable that, it works properly. There is an open issue right now on Toolset’s end related to Content Templates and BB2.0 and I believe your issue is related to that: https://toolset.com/errata/content-templates-built-with-beaver-builder-2-0-are-not-rendered-properly/

You can try the fix indicated at that link but others have reported that their suggested fix does not always work.

Hi Jamie,

Sorry for the belated reply, I have been working with my hosting company to try an solve the error 500 issue and that took a long time but the site now is back to normality (I hop). However my original issue is still outstanding. It seems the error 500 was caused by the plugin "wc field factory" but right now it seems perfect. What is interesting is you must deactivate this plugin before you deactivate woo commerce and the same goes with activating ie first woo the this one. I have send them a support issue also to look into this issue.

So in short the themer template is still not working, I have deactivated this plugin for now but you are welcome to reactivate to test or fix. The issue. I have to use this plugin unless I can find an alternative fir this type of functionality for the website.

If I don't hear from you in time again wish you and all atBeaver and yours an excellent festive season!

Regards

Herman Olivier

Hi Herman,

We were looking into this and were disabling plugins to investigate the issue and now the site is showing a 500 error.

I did a build with woo commerce and bb. I used themer to set the single page template, and it worked 100%. This morning I tried to make a change to the template and now most of the fields in the template does not pick up the woo commerce product information. That was even before I managed the change the formating of the product price.

The themer layout file is called "woo single product layout."

Please this is bafeling me big time!

Hi there

I'm not sure what the issue is you have been dealing with Beaver Builder about, but when I look at your site I can see that you have a Content Template for single products, of which there are 33, but none of the products are using the Content Template.

In the screenshot you see there is the option to "bind" the template to the existing 33 products, and if you edit a product to look at which template is being used, you will see that no template is assigned to the products.

Hence, when viewing a product on the front end you shouldn't expect to see anything from your content template.

Is that what you mean by "not working"?

Good Morning Nigel

Let me start at the beginning. I created a woo commerce site and with the help of toolset tried to create my own single product template using "content template" in toolset to do it. I created a template called "Template for Products 2".

Now when I try to open a single product it does not show the design layout as it should. It only shows the short description nothing else.

This was working 100% until I ran the upgrade to bb2. That seemed to break the template. The support reply i got was the link i send to one of toolset's support channels that I sent to you.

I used bb to di the layout in the content template and that seem to break it as per the above mentioned link.

Hi Andre

There were some issues designing content templates with BB when upgrading to BB 2.0, but I haven't heard of the association between posts and content templates being lost before.

In any case, I went back to your site to bind the products to the content template again.

Viewing a product I see that it uses your content template (which basically shows the price and featured image).

I'm not sure why it happened but that appears to have fixed it.
