Solution:
You can create membership Sites with CRED.
YOu can add Form to let users register and also update theor Profiles.
Views Provides Login and Logout ShortCodes.
Usually you will not need more customization for memebership sites, but if you need a "full" memebership site, where also other users can view profiles of other users, where you hide the WordPress backend, where you can use your User's to set up relations to posts, then you need further customization.

Problem:
Can I completely hide the WordPress backend from certain user Reles with Access?
Solution:
No.
Access does not remove WP Admin access for certain user roles.
It only allows you to control who can do what on the Backend and also Front end.

Solution:
Creating many to many relationships is depends on upon the structure of your data. How you setup your post types and taxonomies.
There are 2 ways to establish many to many relationship:
1) Creating Many to Many Relationships Using an Intermediary Object
2) Using WordPress taxonomy
Problem: I would like to show a View of posts and calculate the total number of posts with each custom field value, like the results of a survey.
Solution: There's nothing built-in to Views that will calculate the total number of posts with a specific custom field value on-the-fly, so the display you described must be built out piece by piece using Views and Views shortcodes. You could use multiple filtered Views to achieve something similar. For example:
- View of submissions filtered by custom field "Question 1", answer "Yes"
- Use the wpv-found-count shortcode to output the number of submissions.
- View of submissions filtered by custom field "Question 1", answer "No"
- Use the wpv-found-count shortcode to output the number of submissions.
- View of submissions filtered by custom field "Question 1", answer "I don't know"
- Use the wpv-found-count shortcode to output the number of submissions.
- A second View of submissions filtered by custom field "Question 1", answer "No"
- In the loop output editor, display the "reason" free-response field

Are there performance reasons to choose taxonomy checkboxes vs a checkboxes custom field?
Solution:
In general taxonomies are more performant than custom fields when it comes to querying posts. Taxonomies are stored in custom tables optimised for the purpose, while custom fields are stored in the general purpose wp_postmeta table. On smaller sites the difference would be too small to notice, on larger sites with more traffic the difference might be noticeable.
The parameter mode="fade" in shortcode [cred_show_group] trigger the JS error
This is a bug of CRED version 1.6, the shortcode:
[cred_show_group ... mode="fade"] will trigger JS error:
Uncaught TypeError: n.easing[this.easing] is not a function
Solution:
edit it from:

To:
[cred_show_group if="($(general-for-sale) gte '1' ) AND ($(general-for-sale) ne '9' ) AND ($(general-for-sale) ne '24' )" mode="slide"]
