From the Edit View screen > Loop Wizard > "How do you want to display the loop?", what would be the best option selection be when using a template created with Divi builder?
It depends on how you want your View's results formatted. There is no single best option for all cases. Look at the image here for a visual representation of a View using a Divi Content Template: https://toolset.com/documentation/recommended-themes/toolset-divi-integration/list-posts-with-custom-searches-and-maps/
The yellow section represents one iteration of the Loop in a View. The Divi Content Template is inserted in that area. The formatting option you choose for the View determines what markup is added around each yellow section. The unformatted option results in your Divi Content Template being repeated for each result in the loop, with no additional markup around each result. The unordered list option creates an unordered list element, and generates a list item tag surrounding the Divi Content Template for each item. The table option creates a table structure, and inserts the Divi Content Template in that structure.
We do not recommend using the Bootstrap grid option with Divi, as there are several conflicts between Bootstrap and Divi.
Hello,
I will update this ticket shortly.
Thank you.
That's fine, I will mark this ticket as pending an update for you. No need to reply right now. The ticket will remain open for 30 days.
Hi,
you indicated earlier that the Bootstrap grid option wasn't recommended for use with Divi because of conflicts. Since the Toolset tutorial hasn't been updated yet, can you option another option for the document example?
I'm seeking to display Archive search results in a grid of thumbnail links that would adjust responsively to a single column on mobile. Should, I select "Table Based-grid" for loop output style option?
I'm afraid I don't have a good option available for responsive grids when Bootstrap is deactivated. Our system for responsive grids relies exclusively on the styles provided by Bootstrap. You can try to activate Bootstrap to take advantage of their responsive utilities, then resolve other issues that are introduced by Divi - or you can use your own custom CSS to manage responsive designs.
Thank you for providing this information.
To be clear, choosing "Table Based-grid" with 4 columns which might be ideal for a desktop display, the 4 column grid would not adjust to a single column on mobile without custom CSS, even though the Divi template was used?
If you choose "Table-based grid" in the Loop Wizard, then the number of columns is not responsive. It does not matter if you use Divi or not.
