Hello,
when we extend the pages of our website with additional fields (custom fields) we only get the old wysiwyg-editor but not gutenberg, as we want to. Gutenberg is only available at the main content in the backend.
What can we do, so we can use gutenberg as well in our custom fields?
Thanks in advance!
Catharina

Hi Catharina,

Thank you for getting in touch.

Unfortunately no the custom fields do not support the use of the Gutenburg editor for editing their content. Only the main editor for wordpress will have the gutenburg editor.

Thanks,
Shane

Hi Shane, thanks for your quick reply! Is there any plan for future updates to make gutenberg available also for custum fields?
Best, Catharina

Hi Catharina,

Not at this moment, as wordpress would first have to support gutenburg editors for custom fields before we can implement it.

Thanks,
Shane
