Dear Toolset-Support Team,

I want to update the page kuntform.de after four years. I already started bringing the page back to the current state. New PHP Version and updating all the plugins including Toolset.

The page contains two custom types:
- Organiseres
- Events

The events have different categories (taxonomies). My goal is to add two new taxonomies to the system so every event should keep the old information and should get two new taxonomies.

What is the way to go here?
-Create the taxonomies
- Add the new taxonomies to the forms to create/edit the events.
- Add the new taxonomies to the filters in the frontend (website) so the visitors can use them to sort the events.
- Update the old events. Is there a good and fast way to update all the old events that don't have the information of the new categories?

Is there anything else I have to consider?
Will updating toolset after such a long time bring any problems with it?

Thank you for your help,

Roman

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

There should not be any issue but I recommond that you should always do such major update on staging site and once you see everything working as expected on staging site then you should move it to production.
