Good day

i'm creating a post archieve with filter using views. all legacy, no Gutenberg.

this is basically a re-open of this thread:
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/how-to-remove-dash-in-front-of-subcategory/

When creating a filter using [wpv-control-post-taxonomy], a dash is rendered in front of the terms, depending on the depth.

I want to get rid of that. I've seen the javascript solution in above and another thread, but that's really not satisfying, from a optical as well as technical standpoint. it's a hack, for some something very central.

You say this is rendered in the theme. i made a fresh setup and testet all the default WordPress themes, all of them output this dash. and i can't figure out where.

Do you have any pointers where this could be changed in php?

Thanks!

Kind regards

Beat

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Here is the another ticket where I shared the JS solution:

The thing is that that is the only possible workaround to remove the dash from the child category. There is no other possible alternative solution available.

It's really hard to believe that this is something that cannot be influenced in the backend. Literally everything can be changed usually. But OK, i got to accept it then. Thanks 😉
