Record only the thumbnail image

This support ticket is created vor 5 Jahren, 3 Monaten. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Hello,

I'm using Cred to define an avatar for users. As this is something that will be used only in small resolution, I would like to know if it is possible to record only the thumbnail version of the image (in order to not populate the hosting with large sized files.

Of course, this should be only for this specific custom field. All other image custom fields should be recorded with all the file dimensions.

Hi, Im not aware of any one filter that will help suppress these other image sizes, because they can be added by other themes and plugins as well. I supposed you could use the cred_save_data hook to trigger some PHP that deletes attachments from the post programmatically, after it's created, but that could be tricky. I will check also on plugins that allow to define the size of the images that are uploaded on the site.
