I am trying to: I've followed this tutorial https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/front-end-forms/building-the-my-account-page/ and then created a logout link (not part of the tutorial) and when I click on the logout link I don't seem to log out.. I've tried this with incognito windows, different browsers, mobile phones etc.. but it's consistently not logging out
Link to a page where the issue can be seen:versteckter Link please use these credential on this page : username : optician AND password : optician
Feel free to log in and log out and let me know if it works for you..
I expected to see: I would be logged out and asked to sign in again.
Instead, I got: I come back and am able to see everything that I should not if I am logged out.
Hi Alim,
Thanks for asking! I'd be happy to help.
I've tested the "wpv-logout-link" shortcode on my test website in a multisite network and it works as expected.
( ref: https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/views/views-shortcodes/#wpv-logout-link )
Your website's set up seems different though as the front-end URL is versteckter Link and the admin URL is at versteckter Link
Are you using any third-party plugin or custom code for this domain mapping?
Please let me know more details about your multisite network's set up so that I can test and suggest accordingly.
regards,
Waqar
Hi Waqar,
Hope you had a nice weekend..:-)..
Please do let me know if you had any updates on this.

Alim
Hi,
Thank you for waiting.
During testing and research, I noticed that the "Domain Mapping" plugin offers some settings in the "Network Admin" -> Settings -> Domain Mapping.
As the website's front-end is mapped to a different domain it would make sense to map the admin area to the same mapped domain too, so that WordPress default functions used for login/logout can work with the same domain/URL too.
My recommendation would be to test this with "Administration mapping" and "Login mapping" options set to "mapped domain" and in case the issue still persists, it would be best to consult the plugin's author (WPMU) for most accurate and up-to-date information about the plugin's features and settings.

Waqar
Hi Waqar
Thanks for the update..:-)..
As per your recommendation I changed the Login Mapping to 'Mapped Domain' (screenshot attached) and it worked fine..
2 more related questions..
1) When I use the username and password on the frontend I get a security message about data breach.. (screenshot attached).. what is this? and I am worried if this will happen to all my users?
2) This user that I have created should not be able to access the /wp-admin dashboard part of the wordpress installation.. how do I manage this?
Regards,
Alim
