"..... If you want your clients to be able to manage this from the front-end, you probably need to use a "checkbox" custom field on the CPTs that indicates whether or not each post is "featured". Someone could edit the posts with CRED, check the featured checkbox in the correct post, and uncheck the checkbox in the old post, to change which post is currently featured on the homepage."
The client will want to Log-In to a front-end form and add content to populate the following Profile Page for a new painting, ecollage, and/or collage: versteckter Link this is how the "Featured Image" and specifications are added to the site.
NOTE: I've opened a new ticket regarding Views because I am confused as to the roles of the above Profile Page and an Archive page in a search.
With regard to how the Home Page: versteckter Link is managed, a Featured Profile will be posted by the client as needed, from the front-end
A. A Featured Image
B. Title
C. Button "View Details" linked to the Profile Page for the featured item
D. Button to open the search form
E. Link to static bio page (which itself should be editable by a front-end form)
F. Link to a pop-up Contact form
This Featured Profile content should be posted to the Home page, if possible, by the following two options:
1. The client can select to post a new Featured Profile at the point when a new item is first added to the site by populating the fields of a front-end Form. When the Form is submitted, if it had been indicated as new Featured Image, hopefully, the existing featured image would be over-written.
2. The client can perform a search for an existing item and from the Profile Page of that item, the client can hopefully Log-in to edit the existing page and be provided with the option to post that item as the new Featured Image.
If possible, anytime a new item is posted as the Featured Profile, the existing profile on the Home page will be over-written by the new post.
