Hello,

I've created page templates and read a great deal of Toolset reference material but I am having difficulty with the process of inputting "Fields and Views" in the Divi builder templates. For example, I open a Text Module in a template and I click Fields and Views to insert the field where I want the related content displayed.

Problem: This opens the "Fields and Views shortcodes window with Jump to tabs and categories but, even after reading the reference material, I an not exactly clear on which of the options to select, what the tabs and categories mean or how the specific fields I need are created and added to the window for me to select from.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

You can consider Fields and Views button as a container of all custom fields, taxonomies and views that will allow you to add your desired field as per your choice to your content area. You need to decide which field you want to add and simply follow the following Doc:

Well - have you check following Doc:
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/recommended-themes/toolset-divi-integration/displaying-fields-inside-any-divi-module/

If this is still not clear, please send me few screenshot with your queries that will help me to guide you in right direction.

I was afraid that would be the response I received. I have read the document that you posted a dozen times and I still do not see how this applies.

For example "Taxonomy". It's unclear as to what this will actually be in my project. For instance, my development is for artists to display their artwork and make it available for sale on their website. Each artwork has a "Profile Page" to display using a CPT "Painting". The Profile Page is based on a Content Template that has the following fields (featured image, title, color group, price, etc.), are these the "Taxonomies"?

Please see the attached screenshot and note that the provided Toolset documents STILL, do not explain what these elements are and how they relate to my development being new and unfamiliar with Toolset apps.

Also, at what point are the elements created and made available from the Fields and Views shortcodes window?

Well - as I tried to explain you "Fields and View's" button is a container that holds all the such information at one place so that you can use it to add custom fields, taxonomies, views, user fields etc..etc..

Regarding the tabs = when you click on particular tab - it will redirect you to that section so you do not have to scroll again and again. For instance - post view section will be displayed at bottom - so if you click on "post view" tab it will navigate to that section at bottom.

Taxonomy section will contain all native+custom taxonomies to display - its just to enhance the usability so that you can access all things at same section. ( I would like to know - your setup do not have those taxonomies available?)

With fields and views button - it will display you all taxonomies, custom fields groups, post views, user views, content template that is created using the Toolset.

whenever any entity is created under following section - it will available under "fields and views"
=> Toolset => views
=> Toolsest => Content Template
=> Toolset => Post fields (custom fields group)
=> Toolset => Taxonomies

I appreciate your assistance. Using Toolset with Divi Builder for the first time probably seems a great deal more difficult to me than it might actually be. My objective is for all content to be updated by front-end CRED form. Allow me to describe to you where I am at in the process. I have the following:

1. Home Page (saved Content Template) with Divi Modules for:

a. Text Module (for Featured Image display)
b. Text Module (for Title of the featured image)
c. Button Module Link (to URL of featured image Detail Page display)
d. Search Form (button trigger)
e. Button Module Link (to static content page)
f. Button Module Link (to contact form pop-up)
g. Text Module (with static logo image)

2. Profile Page (saved Content Template) with Divi Modules for:

a. Text Module (for Featured Image thumbnail)
b. Text Module (for static page caption text)
c. Text Module (with static logo image)
d. Text Module (for WYSIWYG content display)
e. Button Module (URL link)
f. Button Link (to woocommerce page)
g. Text Module (for static 3rd party shortcode link) #1
h. Text Module (for static 3rd party shortcode link) #2
i. Text Module (for static 3rd party shortcode to display widget)

3. Archive (saved Content Template) with Divi Modules for:

Similar template configuration as item 2 above.

It may seem elementary to you, but can you please help me confirm the Fields and Taxonomy for the above?

Well - it looks like you are not aware about your setup. The fields and taxonomy should be attach to post type - so you should check with your post type to see what taxonomies assigned to your post type and check with Toolset -> Post fields to check which post field group assigned to which post type.

It is obvious that you are going to only provide abbreviated textbook answers instead of trying to identify specific areas and ways in which I need help. So, I see no need to keep this ticket open.
