Hi Nigel,
on the Site "bleibtinmir.de" the installation from the admin panel was not possible. Also automatic updates doesn't work for the toolset types and views plugins in the admin panel. I always have to update the plugins manually via FTP. Do you know how I can reslove the issue?
Thanks
Thorsten
I don't know the details of your case, but I can tell you we had a specific issue that occurred with the version of Installer included in Types 3.2.5.
It didn't affect all users (depends on server settings), but for those it did there is unfortunately no alternative but to manually update Types, which should then restore the normal installer functionality.
So on your plugins page delete the current version of Types.
Download the current version from toolset.com/account/downloads
On the Add new plugins page upload the zip file and activate Types.
You should then see the automatic installer behaving correctly, with which you would be able to update Views etc.
Hi Nigel,
i think I explained it wrong. From the beginning (before one of the Toolset was installed) it was a problem to install the Toolset plugins (not all, I think it's only Types and Views) via the WordPress Admin Panel. I had to install these two plugins via FTP. All other Plugins (like Access, Layouts etc) I could install via Plugins Page in the Admin panel. ALso there is only a problem with automatic update for Types and Views. I guess, that these two plugins are too big for some reason.
Are you SURE there is no other way to update the plugin? I have dozens of sites using 3.2.5 - please tell me that I don't have to update every site manually? It will take me HOURS.
There is a bug in the automatic installer (which is bundled with Types), so there is no way to automatically update Types to a version without the bug, a manual update is required to get past this.
