[Geschlossen] a view showing the actual category in a post on a postgrid

Hello everybody...

I do have a postgrid, left column of versteckter Link
I just want to add the Name of the category above the Foto in thright bottom Corner.

I created a view "Actual_Category":

Can you please share details within what section of your page you want to add what and how you are displaying that content.

Please share bit more details and once I review all your requirement I will be able to guide you in the right direction.

I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

HI again

on the starting page (startseite-2025-2) three is "Abschnitt neu 2025-2". the left two columns are showing postgrids and I want to add a view showing the actual category of the spezific post as a text with semi transparent background over the post image

I used a plugin "Ele Custom Skin Pro" to show a grid with individual styling of the posts, but I would appreciate it to built the same with toolset only - not sure how to do that! additional with categories of the posts

I see the Elementor template you are using and I can see that you are using two post grids.

With one post grid the source of the post grid is post type "veranstaltung" and the second post grid source is pos type "posts".

I see the category is assigned to both "veranstaltung" and "posts" post type.

Do you mean you want to display the caregory name attached to the posts that is displayed by post grid? if yes: how to know what posts is displyed by post grid? or you want to display all category names?
