Problem: I have a custom field in my Form. The option values for this field correspond to taxonomy terms. I would like to use the cred_save_data hook to add the selected term to the post.
Solution:
You can use wp_set_object_terms to set a term in a post.
Problem:
A "Trying to get property of non-object..." error appears on post edit screens with related posts containing image fields.
Solution:
The client was using custom code to delete the attachment post entries from wp_posts. While not required it was unexpected, and producing the error. This has now been fixed.
Problem: Since updating to Access 2.7.3, I am seeing warnings in the error logs like
PHP Warning: array_key_exists(): The first argument should be either a string or an integer in /path/to/site/wp-content/plugins/types-access/application/controllers/permissions_post_types.php on line 447
Problem:
Create global taxonomies in a multisite shared across all sites of the network.
Solution:
This is not supported by Toolset, and no solutions can be readily found when searching. Some discussion of the problems appears below, but no solution.
Problem:
Posts with image fields can be edited with front-end forms, meaning that users can change the images attached to a post. The URLs of these new images will be different, and the client wants to rename the new images so that they keep the old filename and URL.
Solution:
This requires disabling the WordPress setting to store uploads in year/month directories, and custom code to affect the filename changes.
Problem:
If you export a Toolset Form from one site and import it to another any custom markup etc. is lost, the form reverts to the default state as if it had just been newly created.
Solution:
This is a confirmed bug that is fixed in Forms 2.3.4
