Are we able to edit the custom term fields on the front end? This is for hierarchical taxonomy.

Also are we able to specify only certain taxonomy to be displayed when we display the taxonomy in check boxes for user selection?

For instance in the custom taxo "staff" I have a custom term field "status".

Can I edit the "status" on front end?
Can I display only taxo that says status=active whenever the check box are displayed in forms?

Thanks.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

I understand what you are saying but there is no such feature available to filter the taxonomy term fields before you display on the Toolset form.

Only thing I can do is, I can encourage you to file a new feature request for this feature using the following link:

Thanks for the link. I am sure this is not the first time this would come as a request. Am just checking if there is any attribute to the shortcode that display the taxo terms in forms.

Back to my first question, is there such functionality to edit the term fields on front end?

I totally understand what is your need but for now, you can display term fields on a View listing terms and on a term archive page.

Please check the following Doc:
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/displaying-wordpress-term-fields/

With Toolset form's you can create forms for the following entities:
- Add/edit post types
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/getting-started-with-toolset/publish-content-from-the-front-end/forms-for-creating-content/
(where post forms you can display the taxonomy terms which will allow you the user to play with terms but not with the term custom fields.)

- Create/edit user profiles
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/getting-started-with-toolset/publish-content-from-the-front-end/forms-for-registering-users/

- Post-Relationship forms
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/post-relationships/how-to-build-front-end-forms-for-connecting-posts/

So, there is no feature available using which you can edit the term fields from the frontend. I totally agree with you and that is why I encourage you to file a feature request and add your voice to this feature so our Devs will review it.

Well it seems nothing much can be done now. Thanks.
