I want to pull images from an old site into posts using an ID that is in the import from the posts. I set up a new type (Images) and imported the images (jpgs) and their data (in the database). I also set up a many to many relationship betweent the post type and the images type. But when I went to work on the template for my Posts, which are also imported and have a field for the ID fpr the images, I couldn't figure out how to draw on a different tool type to get the data (the image url associated with the ID and its title and caption) to appear. I used WP All Import and reviewed those settings, too, thinking the two types could be associated there, but didn't get any result.

As I understand you have old site X with posts having images (multiple images) per post, so images will be a repeating field (multiple instance) and now you have new site Y with same posts and you want to import images from old site to new site.
