Hi there
I have four pre-sales questions:

1. I'd like non-registered users to be able to submit info for the custom post type via a front end form. This would be stored on the site as a draft until approved. The form could be included with toolset or could be Gravity forms based.

2. The custom post type will have a number of categories. On both the category archive page and a single post page, of a given category, the page needs to show static content which is the same across that particular category (such as a set of accordion dropdowns, down the right of the page containing text relating to that category).
This might be done with having a different template with different static content, per category ?

3. I'd like to use toolset with Divi from Elegant these. Is it easy to incorporate the page builder into Toolset, to create the layout of the custom post type, or is it better to do this within options in Toolset, if I'm going to use a form (mentioned above) to gather content for these pages?

4. If the answer is positive to the above, is it possible to upgrade from the single licence to a multiple after I've tested the plugin out?

Many thanks in advance
Richard.

Hello Richard,

thank you for your interest in Toolset.

1. I'd like non-registered users to be able to submit info for the custom post type via a front end form. This would be stored on the site as a draft until approved. The form could be included with toolset or could be Gravity forms based.

Yes, this is possible to achieve using Toolset. Our Toolset CRED plugin allows you to create a front-end form for any post type and the submitted posts can arrive in the draft status as well. And yes, the users don't need to have an account in order to add new content.

2. The custom post type will have a number of categories. On both the category archive page and a single post page, of a given category, the page needs to show static content which is the same across that particular category (such as a set of accordion dropdowns, down the right of the page containing text relating to that category).
This might be done with having a different template with different static content, per category ?

Yes, in Toolset you create custom archives and in your archive editor you can also edit the area above the loop that lists your posts. Toolset allows you to add additional fields to your categories (and taxonomies) as well.

3. I'd like to use toolset with Divi from Elegant these. Is it easy to incorporate the page builder into Toolset, to create the layout of the custom post type, or is it better to do this within options in Toolset, if I'm going to use a form (mentioned above) to gather content for these pages?

You can create a single post entry (both in the archive and in a single-post pages) using the Divi page builder or using pure HTML. In both cases you can display you custom fields, custom categories etc. If you like Divi, I'd go with the Divi builder.

4. If the answer is positive to the above, is it possible to upgrade from the single licence to a multiple after I've tested the plugin out?

Yes, it is.

HI Agnes
Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify on point 2.
It is possible to add some static information on a single post, that is within a category as well as a category archive page?
The example - We have a 'housing' and an 'economy' category. When you click through to a single post within the housing category, there is some static info which appears on all the single post page pages in the housing category. And it differs from the static content that appears alongside posts in the economy category.
Sorry if I've asking the same question again - just want to make sure I've distinguished clearly between the archive and single post pages.
Many thanks
Richard.

Hi Agnes
I've added a (very) rough mock up of what I want to do. The image shows two separate posts which are in two separate custom post categories / taxonomies. The first post is in the housing category. The text on the left is submitted by a user from a front end form. The accordion on the right is specific to the housing category and needs to show on all single post pages in the housing category.
The 2nd post is in the Economy category and shows a different set of accordions, which also need to show up on each single custom post page. The page split will be roughly 50/50 with the user info on the left and the static info on the right.
Hope that makes sense.
Many thanks
Richard.

yes, this is possible.

You will need to use nested Views and for these add filters, but it's doable. Both for single-post pages and archives.
