I have reviewed several other similar threads and still cannot figure out how to only see results after the submit button is clicked.
Here is a website that has a set-up like I would like. The filter options on the home page and then those same filter options in sidebar/widget.

I have a development website set up and can privately provide the credentials for you to see it/log-in.
Hi Beverly,
Thank you for getting in touch.
Are you using the classic editor to create your view or are you using the block builder.
If you're using the classic editor then you can use the method below.
https://toolset.com/forums/topic/how-to-force-blank-search-to-return-no-results/#post-1634461
If not then you will need wrap your search results in a conditional block and recreate the exact same condition from the link above in your conditional block GUI so that the results can be hidden before the search is performed.
Please let me know if further clarification is needed.
Thanks,
Shane
I'm using the block builder. And, sorry, but I have no idea how to do what you are saying to do.
Hi Beverly,
Would you mind allowing me to have admin access to the website so that I can have a more detailed look at this for you ?
Please where applicable please provide me with a link to an example page where I can see the view.
I've enabled the private fields for your next response.
Thanks,
Shane
Hi Beverly,
This should now be working.
Please go ahead and check on the search and let me know if everything is ok now.
Thanks,
Shane
Perfect! If I go into the editor for that page, will I be able to see what you did?
Hi Beverly,
Yes you'll be able to see it. All I did as to create a conditional block and then add the view loop inside that conditional block. Then setup the conditional to only show its content when it detects the wpv_view_count parameter in the url.
Thanks
Shane
Ok. I see it but I'm not sure I could replicate it if I needed to, however. Is there documentation that you can link me in case I need to repeat this again?
Thank you!
UPDATE: I totally messed up the home page. I don't know how to fix it. I tried to go back to the last version you worked on. I think this tool may be too advanced for me.
Ok. I got the home page restored. Sorry for the alarm.

Unfortunately there isn't a specific documentation that would guide you through this method, however the documentation below should be able to assist you with setting up a page that shows only the search bar and allow you to have a separate results page.
https://toolset.com/course-lesson/displaying-search-results-on-a-different-page/
With this you can achieve a similar result but with the results being on a completely separate page.
Thanks,
Shane
Ok. I did see that documentation but it isn't what I need. I hope in the future you can develop documentation for this as it seems to be asked for from time to time.
Thank you for all your help.
My issue is resolved now. Thank you!
