I am trying to:
have meaningful ALT tags for my images. I use the option " As defined in Media Library"
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: enlace oculto enlace oculto enlace oculto enlace oculto
I expected to see: Alt tags.
I use Views extensively. Ever since the new update, my images with missing ALT tags are over 200. It has been zero for a very long time. I have found that every view is not outputting ALT tags. I have purged Toolset's cache, local cache, and server cache. I cleared the toolset post-guide-id table. I have tried changing where the alt tag source comes from, saving, changing again, saving, checking with different source options...Nothing is working.
I only found out because SE Ranking flagged it. My additional CSS shows nothing that would affect this. I am hoping i am overlooking something and there is a simple and easy fix.
Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.
Based on the debug information you shared with us I can see that you are using latest Toolset plugins.
Can I have admin access details and let me see what's going wrong with your setup.
*** Please make a FULL BACKUP of your database and website.***
I would also eventually need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site. Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
I have set the next reply to private which means only you and I have access to it.
I thought this issue was due to the update. Unfortunately, it still persists when downgrading. Whatever the issue is, it is these same views that make SERanking flag the links as "Internal links missing anchor." I get a weekly report. I am usually around a 95-100 grade on SERanking. After you solved my last issue and upgraded, the next report showed a precipitous drop to an 89 grade- that is when I saw this ALT tags (and missing anchors) issue reappear. But it looks like it is a coincidence, as downgrading to 1.6.25 did not solve the issue. I am not so much worried about the grade- but Google not parsing my ALT tags is allowing my SERPs positions to slowly drop.
I have put code into my child theme's functions.php file as a patch. It is outputting alt text with this new code. But I would still like to know what isn't working in Toolset.
You will probably need to comment out the last script in the functions.php folder in the Astra Child theme to see the issue.
Let me know if you need anything.
