Selling Simple WooCommerce Products in One Click

Some sites sell simple products where quantity and cart are not even needed. Learn how to enable one-click purchase and take users straight to the checkout.

Here’s an example of a selling a simple product before and after enabling the one-click purchase.

Taking users directly to the Checkout page

First, you have to make sure users are taken to the checkout as soon as they click the „Buy Now“ button.

To do this, you start with the option to take users straight to the cart:

  1. Go to WooCommerce → Settings.
  2. Click the Products tab.
  3. Select the Redirect to the cart page after successful addition option and click the Save changes button. This is a global setting and it applies to all „Add to cart“ buttons on your site.

Next, you need to select your Checkout page as the location of the Cart page. This way, users skip the Cart page go directly to checkout.

  1. Go to WooCommerce → Settings.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. In the Page Setup section, make sure that the Checkout page option is empty. Click the Save changes button.
  4. Under the Cart page option, select your site’s Checkout page. Click the Save changes button.

Adding the Buy Now button

Now, you can add the buy button to your single-product templates or custom lists of products:

  1. Insert the Toolset WooCommerce Add to Cart Button block.
  2. In the right sidebar, expand the Button section and change the label to „Buy Now“. This is because the cart is skipped so it makes no sense to have the button say „Add to Cart“.
