On a site using PHP version 5.4.16 activating Types beta 3 crashes the site front and back. On my test server running PHP 5.6 the plugin works fine. Is there a minimum PHP version for types beta?

Hi, as far as I know it's PHP 5.3+ (https://toolset.com/toolset-requirements/). I know at least one User reported a problem with PHP 5.4.45 and lower in the betas, but that issue was resolved in the latest Release Candidates. Are you running Types 3.0-RC? If not, can you try updating Types from beta 3 to RC?

If you continue to experience problems, please turn on server logs and let me know what is reported when you try to load wp-admin. Go in your wp-config.php file and look for define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);. Change it to:

define('WP_DEBUG', true);

Then add these lines, just before it says 'stop editing here':

ini_set('log_errors',TRUE);
ini_set('error_reporting', E_ALL);
ini_set('error_log', dirname(__FILE__) . '/error_log.txt');

Reload wp-admin, and this should create an error_log.txt file in your site's root directory. Please send me its contents. Once that is done, you can revert the changes you made to wp-config.php.

Hi Christian,

I think the issue was related to the site's database. I wasnt able to find a solution so switched to ACF.
