In the current block content templates I also have some views. If I move this content to a page where I need to create a new view to get the selected event passing the ID parameter Toolset says that nested views are not supported. Unless you have a different solution to have a page behave as a CT. BTW I'd very much prefer to keep the content template for a better user experience.
