Sort view by User Last Name

This support ticket is created 3 years, 9 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
I have a simple view that shows all subscribers, but it does not allow me to sort by Last Name. Is there a way to do this? Currently Ordering By is set to Display Name (which alphabetizes by first name)

Is there any documentation that you are following?
I tried the instructions at https://toolset.com/forums/topic/sort-user-view-by-users-last-name-of-custom-field/, but it did not add it to the ORDER BY list, nor did it sort by last name.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I'd be happy to assist.

I've tested the custom code from the other support ticket and it worked as expected, to order the user view, by the last names.

To troubleshoot why it is not working on your website, I'll need to see how this view is set up in the admin area.

Can you please share temporary admin login details, in reply to this message?
