Tell us what you are trying to do?
I'm trying to set up a knowledge-base covering several distinct topics. To do this, I was hoping to use post relationships to display different hierarchies of topics. So as to not have to create several different custom post types, I was hoping to use self-joining relationships to accomplish this. Are there plans to incorporate this function in the near future?

Is there any documentation that you are following?
Other than that available on the Toolset website, no.

Is there a similar example that we can see?

Hi there

We do have an internal ticket to add such a feature, but I'm afraid it is not something being actively worked on, so it is not something you should expect to be able to use anytime soon.
