Reimplementing a nested view with blocks

Problem:

A legacy nested View—where a parent View lists taxonomy terms and a child View lists posts assigned to each term—needed to be rebuilt using Toolset Blocks.

Solution:

Nested Views are not supported in the Block Editor, so any Views that require nesting must remain in Legacy mode.

Hi there,

We're re-implementing a site built with the classic editor and legacy Toolset and updating it to use blocks.

We had a question about how to re-implement a nested view. The parent view is a list of taxonomy terms. The child view lists custom posts with that taxonomy term.

Hi Saul,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to use nested Views in the Block Editor. You will need to keep the Views you want to use as nested Views in Legacy mode.
