Possible to input date versus using date picker for custom date field?

There isn't such a built-in option within Types plugin, I suggest you add a feature request for it:

I am trying to:
Input date with copy/paste/typing of text into custom date field.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:
N/A

I expected to see:
Input date with copy/paste/typing of text into custom date field.

Instead, I got:
Forced to use date picker.

Is it possible to add a date via copy/paste/typing instead of using the date picker? Most sites that I've seen allow both options. Am I missing an option in Toolset to allow this?

Hello,

I assume we are talking about edit a post in wordpress admin side.
If it is, you are right, there isn't such a built-in option within Types plugin, I suggest you add a feature request for it:
https://toolset.com/home/contact-us/suggest-a-new-feature-for-toolset/

Our developers will evaluate it, but there isn't any ETA to implement it.
