permalink for custom post type not working when site moved to new domain

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

as far as i can tell, all files and database are same

Did you try re-saving the custom permalinks?

If you go to edit a speaker post and use the link to view the post on the front end, does it have the expected link URL?
