[Resuelto] I can not see the pages of each product (WooCommerce) (Very very urgent).

Este hilo está resuelto. Aquí tiene una descripción del problema y la solución.

Problem:
Client began seeing 404 errors when visiting WooCommerce product pages on a site under active development.

Solution:
Re-save permalinks at Settings > Permalinks.

When moving the site to another server or repeatedly changing themes or activating and de-activating plugins the permalink settings can become lost and need re-setting.

It is a useful first step whenever there are URL-related problems.

Every time I activate any other themes to make tests I have problems with the pages of each product, but it is now impossible to see the product pages of Woocommerce.

Hi Francisco

The first thing I would do is re-save your permalinks at Settings > Permalinks.

I note that the URLs for your products have changed from last week, and now include an /es/ language directory.

If I delete that I find that I can visit individual product pages (e.g. enlace oculto) though they no longer look the same.

You must have made some changes to add the language attribute to the URL, no?

Hi Nigel,
I have 2 Wodpress installs, one in the main directory for the English language, and one in the /es/ directory for the Spanish language. They are completely independent installs. I have not changed anything in the urls for months, the only change I made this morning is to select another theme to check some errors, but then I turned on DIVI theme again. This problem I have observed several times, for example when I disabled the Toolset plugins and reactivated them.
I have re-saved the permalinks and now it works, however, you have some problem when the plugins are disabled and re-enabled.

Note: By the way, Nigel, could you help me with this other problem ?, since your partner Shane does not solve it to me.

Hi Francisco

You said that it has happened when switching themes, too.

I'm not sure there is much I can do here because an intermittent problem that cannot be reliably reproduced and for which there is a simple solution.

In my daily routine I am activating and de-activating our plugins many times over and it isn't an issue I experience, or if I do, so rarely that I can't remember the last time it happened.

It is useful to remember that whenever you appear to have url-related problems, the first step to test is to re-save the permalinks.

Regarding Shane's ticket, it looks like it is resolved, although I don't know where he added the custom CSS.

Please bear in mind the following when it comes to adding new custom post types where you may want the same.

When you create a Content Template and assign it to a post type, that Content Template is used only for posts of that type.

So if you add any custom CSS in the CSS editor of that template, it will only ever be added to pages that use that template, i.e. to posts of the assigned type.

So you can safely add custom CSS to the template knowing that it won't affect posts of other types.

Alternatively, you can use the classes added to the body element to target your CSS more specifically.

So, for example, if I have a custom post type with a slug of "project" then when I am viewing a single project post, the body has a class of "single-project" appended, so a CSS rule of body.single-project would target elements only on such a page.

I have one more ticket to look at and I will get back to your other CSS-related thread (the queue was very busy over the weekend, apologies for the delay).

The problem occurs especially when a different theme is activated, I also assume that the problem are determined to use the DIVI theme as a base.
Regarding the topic of CSS, I enter in the CPT template and I do not see any field to enter CSS.

Hi Francisco

I forgot you are designing the templates with Divi.

In that case the custom CSS editor section is not displayed, as per your screenshot, so you cannot add CSS just to this template. I tried a couple of workarounds that were not effective.

I'll pass this feedback on to our developers (recall, we only just introduced the ability to edit templates with Divi, and this feedback is valuable).

In the meantime, I would add more targeted CSS style rules as I described above based upon the body classes.

You can add the custom CSS on the Divi > Theme Options page at the bottom of the General tab.

The strange thing is that I do not see in the DIVI section for CSS, the new CSS that Shane has added, and as Shane always takes days to respond. 🙁
Remember that you have to continue helping me with the appearance of the shop page. 🙂

Hi Francisco

I tested this again and it worked this time, I'm not sure why it didn't the first time.

If you are editing a template with the Divi page builder, then if you click on the hamburger menu of the Divi builder (see screenshot) then there is a custom CSS section where you can add CSS styles that will only be added to the posts using this template.

#587214

I do not know if doing this will be a problem when the DIVI layout is used in a Toolset loop.

Shane had to disable DIVI in the Toolset template definition, place the CSS code, and re-enable DIVI builder, for that reason I could not find the code that Shane had added.
I think that in a next version of Toolset you should include the CSS Editor even if you are using the DIVI Builder.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Francisco

I just tested it and adding the custom CSS to Divi also works when the content template is used in a Views loop.

Nevertheless, I will pass on your feedback about making the Toolset custom CSS editor available when editing a Content Template with Divi (or other page builders).
