How to sort view by related posts

This support ticket is created 4 years, 7 months ago. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Hi there, I am hoping there is a way to add a filter to sort by related posts. For example, I have two Post Types with a one-to-many relationship (Members relate to Countries) - each with distinct pages. I want to use a view to show the Members and have a filter to sort by related Countries. Thank you.

Thank you for getting in touch.

Unfortunately you're not able to sort the posts by their related posts. Posts views can only be sorted by their post attributes i.e custom fields, post title, post date etc.

Only these parameters can be used to sort the posts. Is there a particular order you're thinking about ?
