I have a group of CPTs called Mentors. Each mentor has a taxonomy called Categories (one of four categories). Separate from that, there is another taxonomy for Status -- Active and Past.

I would like to do a custom search for check boxes on each mentor category -- but only the Active ones.

So for example, the custom search input would only have checkboxes for the four categories, and the master entries list it pulls from would only be Mentors > Active.

Is it possible to do this with Custom Search? I know how to output a View like this but not search.

Hello. Thank you for contacting the Toolset support.

Well - you can filter your view by taxonomy.
=> https://toolset.com/documentation/user-guides/filtering-views-by-taxonomy/

You need to add your filter within the View's Filter section. if this is not you are looking for, I need to a test case example or problem URL where you want to implement this functionality.

Sorry, the Query Filter section wasn't displayed in my options. Once I enabled that, I was able to add the proper taxonomy filter. Thanks!
