I am trying to: We've created a custom post type called "Outreach" and have set up two custom outreach categories and have tagged a number of posts with these custom categories. However, when I create a blog summary and select the categories for the grid summary they are not working. Also when I go to the Custom categories, they are not linked to any posts.
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: enlace oculto
I expected to see: A reduced number of posts
Instead, I got: All posts are showing
I have since tried creating and adding the standard blog categories to these posts but they are also not being pulled into the grid, nor are the posts being assigned to the category. I created "OR - IEACCC Events" and "OR - Outreach" and have assigned posts to these categories but nothing is showing.
Hi, I'll be glad to help figure this out. Can you try these troubleshooting steps first?
- Temporarily deactivate all plugins except Types and Views
- Temporarily activate a default theme like Twenty Nineteen
- Test again. If the problem is solved, reactivate your theme and other plugins one by one until the problem returns.
- If the problem is not resolved, please go to Toolset > Taxonomies and edit this custom taxonomy. Take some screenshots so I can see your taxonomy configurations, and attach those screenshots in your next reply.
- If you created a WordPress Archive with Toolset for this custom post type, please take some screenshots of that archive editor and include those as well.
I'll review your comments and provide some additional feedback.
I have done what you suggested. I deactivated all the plugins and activated a new theme. I also added some standard categories to the custom posts but non are being picked up. I've taken a screenshot of the taxonomies, post lists and custom post categories
Hi, it looks like the Outreach posts are all Privately published. You mentioned that you had created a blog summary and a grid summary, but I'm not clear exactly what you are referring to. If you're referring to the taxonomy dashboard shown in the screenshot here, private posts are not included in the term post counts in the far right column. This is expected in WordPress, even without Toolset active. You can test this with a private Post. Create a new Category term and assign it to only one post. Make that post private, then check the term's post count. It will be zero.
Let me know if I've misunderstood the issue. Some screenshots would be helpful for me. Thanks!
