I am trying to: Edit a page.
Link to a page where the issue can be seen: enlace oculto
I expected to: be able to edit my pages as normal.
Instead, I got: nothing.
Ok, so basically, I went in to edit a particular page, which up until this point had no issues, and found that I was unable to do so. Website troubleshooting 101 dictates that one should disable themes and plugins until the culprit(s) are/is found, and so I did. As we use a child theme of Divi, of our own design, I switched to core Divi, with no changes.
I disabled all plugins, that could potentially cause problems, and whittled it down until I ended up these three plugins. Disabling them allows me to edit my pages, however disabling the Toolset Divi Integration breaks our layouts. With either of these plugins activated (doesn't matter which one of the three are activated at any time), I lose access to my page editor, and subsequently Yoast SEO as well.
I can say that I've never had this issue before, and that I'm currently not having this issue with any of our other sites that utilize any of these three plugins. In fact, we build all of our websites off of a template that utilizes the core Toolset plugins in conjunction with Toolset Divi Integration. I'm not sure my problem is stemming specifically from it, but I could be wrong.
Hi Zachary,
Thank you for contacting us and I'll be happy to assist.
I've performed a few tests and couldn't reproduce this issue on my test website.
Even when your website's duplicator package was used, the homepage remained properly editable.
( screenshot: enlace oculto )
On my test website (with your website's duplicator package), I did saw the following error in the browser's console:
"Failed to reload Content Analysis for plugin ET_PB_Yoast_Content. The plugin was not properly registered."
( originating from file: /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/js/dist/wp-seo-post-scraper-840.min.js )
This error is not shown on your live website, which suggests that issue could be related to how Yoast SEO plugin's content analysis feature works with Divi builder.
To confirm this, you can temporarily disable Yoast SEO plugin from your live website and then check the homepage's edit screen again.
Once confirmed, you can report this incompatibility to Divi and Yoast SEO plugin's support teams.
I hope this helps! Please let me know how it goes and if you need any further assistance.
regards,
Waqar
It seems to be working fine now, since disabling Yoast, though I tried this initially when I was troubleshooting before contacting you -- and it didn't work regardless if Yoast was activated or not. This wasn't the first time Yoast has had conflicts with Divi. In fact, we still have several sites where enabling Yoast with Divi, borks the entire page editing experience in different ways -- regardless if the site is utilizing Toolset plugins or not. This was the first time the entire editing screen had been blank, though.
Thanks for your input, regardless.
