Making a custom post today I noticed the banner at the top suggesting that I go to the dashboard to create a taxonomy or field group. This is a place I never go as it is cluttered and confusing.

I suggest that in the sidebar, under the Save meta box, you put another box with either buttons to create field groups or taxonomies and or listing as links any groups or taxonomy that has already been created.

In addition, when a field group or taxonomy has been made via these actions they get automatically associated to the type by default. So many times I make a new field group and forget to assign to a post type as it is not something generally on the workflow radar. I only notice when I go to the post of a different type and find its dashboard populated with inappropriate fields.

Toolset need a many more little UI improvements for the user experience and to make if fell less labyrinthine.

It's the intention to use the Toolset Dashboard, as there you see all those things you created and how they are connected.
As well it lets you add new things.

Surely the idea to have that in the single Post (or other) edit screens is good, but the major intention is to streamline the workflow thru one path (the dashboard).

I inform you this so you can understand why it even links to that Dashboard.

I passed the suggestions along to the Developers for them to consider in future developments.

Thanks Beda, I realise that the developers have their own rational for setting up the UX the way the do. My suggestion was for those of those who are familiar with Toolset a;ready and need a quicker way to navigate around the many place where the plugins need to be configured.

That been said...There is a lot of new features and concepts introduced with the new versions and I am slowly trawling my way through the documentation, which isn't always the easiest to follow. The tutorials pitched to the training sites are often much more direct in stepping through setting up features etc. I see the real estate demo site but no specific tutorials yet?

Right now the majority is DOC, not tutorials, yes.

Eventually in future we will as well do tutorials for the M2M relations.

I will pass along your suggestions and ideas to the Developers.

Thanks Beda,

I wil keep an eye out for those new tutorials and will muddle through with what we have at the moment.
