I'm just now realizing users cannot insert images into their posts created through Toolset Forms. Can you confirm this functionality does not exist and can you comment on whether or not there is a third-party plugin you can recommend so that users have better ability to create posts? I tried installing Frontier Post but the shortcodes don't seem to be working (still troubleshooting), so I thought I would ask your opinion since surely I can't be the first person to want to have this ability. Thanks.

I assume you are talking about Guest Users using the Add Media button to insert images into a WYSIWYG input area in a Form. If that's the case, then this is expected because WordPress does not allow Guests to have access to the Media Library. Our developers have published an erratum post about this specific issue: https://toolset.com/errata/the-setting-about-adding-the-media-button-to-rich-editors-is-misleading/

The only way to allow Guests to upload images in a Form is to use custom fields.

If you're having trouble giving other User roles the ability to upload files using the Add Media button, make sure it's enabled in the Form (there is an option in the Form editor screen), and make sure the User role has permissions to publish Media posts in Toolset > Access Controls. If that's still not working, I'll need some more details about the User role(s) that are experiencing the problem.

Hi Christian,

There it is, right in front of my eyes - sorry. Think I'm getting burnt out from all the development. I was in fact talking about subscribed users. When I check the allow insert of media button, I now see that option appear in the WYSIWYG editor. However, I do have a couple follow-up questions:

- Can I hide specific buttons (forms, views, access, gallery, etc.)?
- Is it possible to limit the "Add Media" option to just Upload Files and not allow them to see the entire media gallery?

Thanks.

Modifying WordPress's Media Library upload functionality may be possible with custom code, but it's not something Toolset is designed to accomplish. When the Add Media button is clicked, the standard library dialog will appear.

- Can I hide specific buttons (forms, views, access, gallery, etc.)?
This sounds like a completely different question, so may I kindly ask you to create another ticket? It will help us keep things organized.
