Hello,

Some months ago, I have request a new feature (ability to make an image rotation in the Cred frontend as from time to time, pictures made with smartphones are not in the right orientation and it is important to offer the user a way to make the needed rotation).

https://toolset.com/forums/topic/modify-the-image-orientaiton-in-cred-frontend-form/

I have initiated my request more than 1 year ago and in the meantime, have paid a freelance to offer me a "in between" solution.
I have given this solution to the Toolset team in order to integrate it in the new Cred versions, but as today, nothing has been made.
The issue for me is that the solution developped by the freelance has been coded inside the Cred plugin, meaning it is impossible for me to upgrade the plugin without losing the functionality !
That's why I would like the Toolset team to integrate it (I have been told that this feature has been approved at that time !).
Thanks for coming back on this topic.
Regards
Pat

Thank you for the feedback.

Unfortunately it is bot a good practice to change the code in a plugin - the add-on or intermediate solution instead should be packed itself in a plugin.

The feature is still filed and we will try to implement that but right now, apart of the Many To Many features that still remain to be added, Toolset Forms as well will receive some new features that are currently under development.

After that, the developers will consider more (and this eventually too) features again.

The feature that will allow what you request is actually broader:
- to use the native WordPress Image Upload mechanisms and UI in Toolset Forms on the Front End.

This is a lot of work, and our Developers will consider this for the future.

Now, related to "I have given this solution to the Toolset team in order to integrate it in the new Cred versions, but as today, nothing has been made.", I am not sure to what you refer, but I think we cannot implement the work of a 3rd party developer in our Plugin.

The solution is to implement any custom code in a custom plugin - and to wait for Toolset Forms to implement this while using your solution.

Hi Beda,

Thanks for coming back on this topic.

I can understand your point concerning the core modification of the plugin and I was not in favor of that, but unfortunately, that was the only quick way to make the site working in line with my client wishes.

When I was speaking of "given the solution to the Toolset team", that means I have sent to Toolset all the files that have been modified in order for Toolset to see if something was reusable easily for integrating this function into Forms. That was a kind of gift as I have paid this solution from an external supplier !

That said, I confirm that currently, this is not easy to manage image upload by users as the images could come in the wrong position due to the way they have been taken with the smartphones. So, when you're facing this kind of situation, the only way is to contact the admin of the site and tell him to change image position manually, which is not a good solution for our clients !!

That's why I was expected that this issue would be integrated sooner in forms and that Toolset team will take into account the weakness of the current upload solution.

Clearly, I'm a little bit disappointed after more than 1 year, not being able to see this function in the new version of forms !!!

Thanks, I recently discussed and pushed the developers for this feature but this is not yet planned to be implemented as stated previously, right now we are working on some improvements majorly in how you create forms, design them, and more.

Related to what you have sent us, can you elaborate where you sent this?
I did not receive this, neither do I see it in the ticket.
Was it sent to a supporter's email?

I can surely investigate what happened with it, but we will most likely not implement that particular code.

Hi Beda,

Concerning the sent files, I think it was on a specific email as it is not possible to upload other files than images in Toolset topics.
I can resend it if you give me an email address.

As said, we cannot implement that code, but surely other users would maybe profit.

You can upload code to pastebin, or files in Google, and share them here.
Google provides great methods to share with anyone, or only who has the link, etc.

if you prefix the link with a @ it will even be public to anyone here in the forum, otherwise hidden and only visible to me and you and other supporters, but not users.

Hi Beda,

I'm closing this ticket as nothing new can be done in a short period of time.
I will reactivate from time to time just to check this functionality will be sooner or later integrated inside Forms !!!
