edit user form keeps disaplaying an error

This support ticket is created hace 5 años, 6 meses. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

hey,
all permissions are set correctly in access, the form is set to edit the correct role, and i still get an error:

"The user was not saved because of the following problem: This form can not edit users with a role of "

(and the role isn't specified).

i've tried recreating the role, recreating the form, disabling plugins, reverting to default theme - and nothing - drives me NUTS.

any ideas?

Also - crazy - another use role (community manager) CAN edit using this form, BUT, despite the fact he's not allowed to edit other's posts, he CAN.
What am I missing?

update:

if i remove ALL ROLES from the eser editing form - strangely, not the user can edit his profile.

but: uploading a picture fails every time - both in a user field and in a post field.
admin can upload images.

and still: manager isn't supposed to edit other's posts, but can.
something is wrong here...

ok - found it!!!
there was a script for redirecting users out of admin...
