Distance Search needs UI and documentation to say it doesn't work in archives!

This support ticket is created hace 6 años, 2 meses. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

If Distance search only works in Views, not Archives, why is Distance search available to choose when building filters and custom search in an Archive?

This needs to be made clear in documentation and in the user interface if you're not going to enable distance search to work in archives. I wasted about 1/2 a day trying to get a custom distance search to work in an archive before finally figuring out it only works in Views.

Yes, I reported this already, our Developers will actually make it possible to be used.
