[Resuelto] Custom Field Group Deactivation

Este hilo está resuelto. Aquí tiene una descripción del problema y la solución.

Problem:

The issue here is that the user wanted to know why there was a deactivation option for the field groups.

Solution:
There are some cases where it can be useful. Lets say the user creates a field group for a CPT but then the CPT is no longer required but they don't want to delete the fields. They can deactivate the fields group and then re-activate it when they are needed again.

I notice there's a 'deactivate' option for Custom Field Groups. Sounds daft but what purpose does this serve? Under what circumstances might I want to deactivate a Custom Field Group? What actually happens when a Custom Field Group is deactivated?

It seems to me this would mess up all Forms, Views and conditional statements that use any of the fields within the group and the frontend output would no longer make sense. Or maybe I'm missing something?

Thanks

Hi Julie,

There are some cases where it can be useful. Lets say the user creates a field group for a CPT but then the CPT is no longer required but they don't want to delete the fields. They can deactivate the fields group and then re-activate it when they are needed again.

Thanks,

OK, yes I can see how that might be useful. Thanks for clarifying!
