cred_commerce_after_payment_completed hook does not seem to be firing

We have a long-standing bit of code that uses the cred_commerce_after_payment_completed hook. We have noticed that recently the code hasn't been firing. Is there a problem with it? The devs haven't accidentally renamed it again, have they (yes I know, that was a LONG time ago!)?

I've checked and the 'cred_commerce_after_payment_completed' hook is not depreciated or renamed.

Can you please follow my debugging recommendations from our past ticket ( ref: https://toolset.com/forums/topic/cred_commerce_after_payment_completed-data-finds-legacy-data-to-cause-error/#post-2311209 ) to narrow down the failing point?

Those debugging steps should help and please let me know if you need further assistance.
