CPT : How to change author name ?

This support ticket is created hace 3 años, 4 meses. There's a good chance that you are reading advice that it now obsolete.

This is the technical support forum for Toolset - a suite of plugins for developing WordPress sites without writing PHP.

Everyone can read this forum, but only Toolset clients can post in it. Toolset support works 6 days per week, 19 hours per day.

Tell us what you are trying to do?

I have a CPT, which comes from a form and which is validated by an admin account before publication. When the admin validates the publication and publishes it, it is published under the name of the admin account and not under the name of the author account that completed the form in the front office.

I would like the admin to be able to change the name of the author to the name of the account that filled in the form or that this can be done automatically

Thank you for getting in touch.

This section might have been disabled when creating your CPT. To resolve this go to Toolset -> Post Types and Edit your Post Type. Under "Sections to display when editing" enable author.

Once you've done this you should be able to change the author when editing your post.
