Problem:

A related-books View displayed all products because the View block did not pass the author value required by its shortcode-attribute Query Filter. After adding the dynamic author attribute, AJAX pagination caused the View to disappear because the value was not preserved across AJAX requests.

Solution:

Insert the View using a shortcode that passes the author dynamically through the [types field…] shortcode. Change the View from AJAX pagination to page-reload pagination so the author attribute is supplied again on each page load.
