Problem:
Client is using the wpv_filter_query hook to modify the Query Arguments before a View query is run, but it doesn't seem to be having any effect.
Solution:
The wpv_filter_query filter should be used with a priority of at least 99, or any changes made may be overwritten.
Problem: I am unable to register Toolset plugins on my site. I use iPage hosting, and their support team has recommended that you install one of these older ciphers on your server.
Solution: Our Systems team recommends iPage updates to a version of cUrl that has TLS. These ciphers are not supported on our system and we do not plan to activate them.
Problem: I would like to use select2.js in some of my site's custom code. I see that Toolset has its own select2.js dependency. Should I enqueue the library separately, or can I use the Toolset select2 feature?
Solution: At this time, it's best to enqueue the library separately.
Can I use a View in my JS code, by adding the View's shortcode where the JS expects some results?
The View returns the results the code expects.
Solution
Generally, ShortCodes can not be added to JS.
You could add the JS within script tags to your HTML section of a content Template for example.
Then you could apply this custom code here to retrieve a "raw" Views' loop result.
This can then eventually be used to populate your Custom JS.
This is however not suggetsed, n or supported.
It is a full custom solution - and not agreeing with Toolset Views' major purpose, which is to display - not deliver data.
Problem:
The issue here is that the user is getting an error 500 when trying to save his user fields.
Solution:
Normally when we get error 500 we usually encourage our customers to enable the wordpress debugging, this way we can get an understanding of the error at hand.
