I would like to use both radio buttons (desktop) and a dropdown (mobile) in the same View and toggle visibility with CSS, but the radio buttons do not work on desktop while the dropdown works on mobile.
Solution:
Having two filter controls for the same query in one View is not supported. Create two separate Views—one for radio buttons and one for the dropdown—to achieve this setup.
I have a "Show More" shortcode that works on page load, but after filtering a Toolset View with AJAX the shortcode stops working because the replaced HTML loses its initialization.
Solution:
Wrap the Show-More initialization in a function and call it both on page load and again after Toolset’s AJAX events (js_event_wpv_parametric_search_results_updated and js_event_wpv_pagination_completed). Add this script in the View’s JS editor or your theme’s JS file so the Show-More feature re-initializes whenever the results refresh.
Using a Toolset View within an Elementor Loop Grid displays all linked files for all posts, rather than only the files associated with the current post.
Solution:
Toolset Views and Elementor Loop Grids are not fully compatible. Instead, use a Toolset View for the loop and integrate it with Elementor via a shortcode.
Create a Toolset View for the Loop:
- Go to Toolset > Views.
- Create a new View to display your "Documents" custom post type.
- Configure the View to display the fields you need, ensuring it filters by the current post.
Add the Toolset View to Elementor:
- In Elementor, use the Text Editor or Shortcode widget.
- Add the shortcode for your Toolset View.
You want to link "Documents" (CPT) to "Events" (CPT) so that certain documents can be associated with specific events and displayed dynamically on an event's page.
Solution:
One-to-Many Relationship:
- Use this if each Document is linked to only one Event.
- Example: A single Document can only be associated with one Event.
Many-to-Many Relationship:
- Use this if a Document can be linked to multiple Events and an Event can have multiple Documents.
- Example: Shared resources like policies or templates across multiple events.
The customer duplicated a site, and on the new version (SilverCoast), property images were missing. The image src attributes pointed to placeholders (data:image/gif;base64...) instead of actual image URLs. The backend displayed images correctly, but they did not show up on the frontend.
Solution:
We identified that the issue was related to custom code responsible for fetching media IDs using full media URLs. The original code checked the database for the full URL, including the domain, which failed after site duplication. We modified the code to extract the filename and match it in the database, ignoring the domain format. This allowed the media ID retrieval to work correctly across sites.
