Problem: I have a Form that includes a taxonomy select field. I have created a conditional group that should respond to that taxonomy selection, but it doesn't work. If I change the taxonomy field to a checkboxes group, it works.
Solution: There is currently a problem where flat taxonomies do not work well with conditional groups in Forms. The workaround is to transform flat taxonomies into hierarchical taxonomies, and use the term ID in your conditional code.
Problem:
How to navigate WooCommerce products by first showing the parent product categories which then link to a page which shows the sub-categories and matching products, going as many levels deep as there are levels of sub-categories.
Solution:
You first need an initial taxonomy View to display only the top level product categories as links to their respective archives. (It will include a Query Filter for parent product category is none, meaning only the top-level categories are returned.)
You then create a custom product categories archive to display products for that category.
At the top of that custom archive you insert another View, much like the first, but this time to display the child product category links, achieved using a Query Filter where the taxonomy parent is set by the current archive page.
Problem:
A custom post type has a repeatable group of fields assigned, which include an image field and a caption text field. How to show these in a slider?
Solution:
Create a slider View as described in the documentation.
For the Content Selection choose the repeatable field group, and output its image and caption fields in the Loop Output section.
The issue here is that the user's theme header was overflowing with the woocommerce content.
Solution:
This was happening because the theme's menu is designed to overlap with the page header. In the case of the shop page made with Layouts the header was missing, so it was overlapping with the content.
To resolve this all that was needed was to rebuild a header in Layouts.
Problem: I am unable to assign a Layout to the Products Archive when I have WooCommerce, Types, Views, Layouts, WooCommerce Views active with the Genesis framework and a child theme. I have selected the WooCommerce Views template for Product Archives in Toolset > WooCommerce Views.
Solution: Activate the Genesis Connect for WooCommerce plugin and update to the latest versions of Genesis and WooCommerce.
