Tell us what you are trying to do?
I'm trying the beta for repeating fields. I've got the latest version. I have a custom post type where I have a one to many repeating field groups - similar to your house and rooms example. In the backend I can create a new house, which has a repeating field group where I can also add rooms. That works fine.

I want to have a front-end submission form where my user can do the same thing but it appears that I have to have him create a room and then assign it to an existing house. Is that correct? This is counter intuitive and extremely inefficient for a user. It makes no sense (to the user) to create the house - with no rooms - and then have to go to another form to create the rooms. Further, when creating a room, they have to find the corresponding house from a list of all the houses. In my case (I'm not really dealing with houses) I have thousands of "houses" that would need to be loaded into the selection mechanism and that they would then need to scroll through to find the one they wanted. Plus, the house names are not unique so there is practically no way for the user to find the correct "version" of the house when looking to attach a room to it. Hope that make sense.

I hope I'm just missing something here so please let me know where I've gone wrong.
Is there any documentation that you are following?

Hi Tom

You are right.

The current system for repeating field groups is cumbersome, particularly on the front-end with CRED, which is why it is being replaced.

The betas currently do not have CRED support for repeating field groups, but it is coming, and it will be based on pretty-much the same UI as the Types back-end implementation.

Looking at the internal roadmap, it looks like it won't make it into the first production release, but will be added soon after.
We don't want to hold up the production releases any longer than necessary, and had to draw the line somewhere regarding features. But this is an important part of the upgrade and is near the top of the list for what gets added in subsequent iterations.

Until then you are stuck with the current method of adding child posts to act as containers for groups of repeating fields, using a CRED form to add each repetition.
